In June 2015, Dr. Gotsch took part in a 10-day, NSF-funded workshop with 30 other Tropical Montane Cloud Forest researchers. They started in Gamboa with four days of meetings. They made presentations, worked on a meta-analysis and planned multi-site studies. They then went to Jim Dalling's (U of Illinois) field sites in la Fortuna, Panama where there are a variety of types of cloud forest.
